The Budapest International Wine Festival - guided wine tasting experience
September 2020 | Buda Castle hosts one of the most spectacular wine festivals each September. Taste one glass of Olaszrizling from the Lake Balaton, a Cabernet Franc from Villány or the world-famous Tokaji aszú. Admire the buildings of the Royal Palace in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and get a breath-taking panorama of the Danube with the Chain Bridge. The Budapest International Wine Festival is a great opportunity to get an overall impression of Hungarian wines. Taste the exiting local grape varieties and get to know the winemakers themselves within a short period of time. Our wine expert tour manager guides you through the crowd to the stands of top winemakers, explains wine regions, grapes and wines giving as many impressions of wine and city as possible. Private groups of friends, colleagues, corporate partners are welcome! Ladies groups are also available.

PROGRAMME
You meet with your professional wine guide in the Buda Castle, at the „Oroszlános Kapu”, at 6:00 pm. Having grabbed your glass for the evening, your guide tells you shortly, about Hungarian wines and the history of Buda Castle then the tour starts with sampling some sparkling wines. You stroll leisurely among the booths of different wine producers; stop for tasting their wines following a bespoke route. You will have the chance to experience live performances, as well, while having some bistro food for dinner.
